How to get herb seeds as an RS3 Ironman

Where an RS3 Ironman gets herb seeds without the Grand Exchange: pickpocketing druids and Crux Eqal Knights, Master Farmers, Managing Miscellania, Vinesweeper, Papa Mambo and boss drops, by level.

Last verified against the RuneScape Wiki: 28 September 2026 ·

Short answer

  • Early game: Pickpocket Druids in the Garden of Kharid (42 Thieving) and Master Farmers (38 Thieving), and spend Vinesweeper points on guam, marrentill and tarromin seeds (10 points each).

  • Mid game: Set Managing Miscellania to Farm for a daily mix of seeds, and move to Crux Eqal Knights (83 Thieving), who have the same herb-seed coverage as the druids.

  • Late game: High-level seeds (lantadyme, dwarf weed, torstol, fellstalk) come mainly from monsters and bosses, plus the Cadarn district chests in Prifddinas (103 Thieving).

Ironman tips

  • Crux Eqal favour only comes from fully harvesting herb patches from 50 Farming, so the wiki suggests saving herb seeds until then.
  • Seedicide (from Cabbage Facepunch Bonanza) destroys unwanted pickpocketed or dropped seeds so they do not fill your backpack.
  • Crux Eqal favour buys Plant Power at the Garden of Kharid, which lets you plant several herb seeds in one patch for more herbs.

Common questions

What is the best way for an RS3 Ironman to get herb seeds?

Pickpocketing Druids in the Garden of Kharid (42 Thieving) and later Crux Eqal Knights (83 Thieving) covers almost every herb seed. Add Managing Miscellania on Farm and monster drops for the high-level seeds.

Where do Ironmen get bloodweed seeds?

Bandit Duty Free in the Wilderness Bandit Camp is the only shop that stocks them. They also drop from revenants and the Wilderness shared loot table.

How do I get ranarr seeds as an Ironman?

Master Farmers, the Garden of Kharid druids, Crux Eqal Knights and Managing Miscellania all give ranarr seeds, and Vyrewatch, risen ghosts, armoured phantoms and Commander Zilyana drop them.
