How to get junk and simple parts as an RS3 Ironman

How an RS3 Ironman gets Invention junk (for junk refiners) and simple parts (for divine charges): what to disassemble, junk chance reduction by level, and Ironman shop sources.

Last verified against the RuneScape Wiki: 28 September 2026 ·

Short answer

  • Simple parts: Disassemble maple logs from Managing Miscellania or acadia logs from Woodcutting; yak-hides from Contraband Yak Produce also work.

  • Junk: You only want junk for junk refiners. Get it from items with a high junk chance and many materials, such as bronze chainbodies and shortbows.

  • Research: Junk chance reduction research (levels 34 to 105) lowers junk by up to 20%, which raises simple-part yield.
